So... Overtime intermission comes... and just as the OT period is abut to start, my son calls me and says.. OK, come pick us up now? (He is at a friends house all he way on the other side of town and he and his friend need a lot home).
So.. Sure, I put the game on my phone (NBCSports APP), place the phone in my dash and "watch" mostly listen. It didn't take long for the winner and I didn't get to see it in real time. So that all said.. boy, we botched about Eberle and Beau in the thread here and who are the 2 that come through? Nice, it's about time they contribute. What a win though - Game 7 here we come.. going to be a tough one and the Islanders are just going to have to leave it all out on the ice - just get to the finals!!
Now, the beer cans? What the hell is up with that? I mean why? I don't think that was cool at all. BUT here is my next rant - listening to the OT Winner as it happens.. the NBC broadcast had nothing for the Isles winning, except for being appalled about the beer cans. Now, I get it, it was a bad look and terribly confusing as to why that was happening but these in-game announces should be ashamed of themselves with the way they are announcing this whole series. They were just as deflated as the Tampa team was over the loss. They had nothing as to how the Islanders won the game and all they could do was go on about the beer cans.
Then it switches to the studio guys - "Let's talk about HOW the Islanders pulled off winning this game". ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME???????? Because they are good ****ing team you ****hole ****ing douche bags!!!!
Come on man, how unprofessional can these guys be? I am just so sick of it... I can't stand it. I hope ESPN does a better job at being non-bias.
