    No suspension

NY Islanders’ Casey Cizikas has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Goalie Interference on Chicago’s Alex Stalock.

Belief at this point is that Casey Cizikas will likely avoid a suspension. Fine, maybe, but probably won't miss any games.

I have been saying for years. How much money is enough money and I think Casey is the first person that I can think of who actually did it. Makes you love him that much more!

2.5 million a year is no chump change. Good on Casey. He had other priorities other than money! I'm glad he is an Islander for life.
These guys have a limited time to make their money. 9mil to 11mil may not be a big diff in standard of living, but 2.5 to 4 or 5 mil can definitely be a difference. Some of That extra money can be invested for retirement at 65 long after the big paychecks have ended.

That is why we ended up with Brian Rolston who didn't care. Now we have hall of famers running the team and players are willing to sacrifice to be here. Sometimes I still can't believe it. We die hards certainly deserve it.
What a sack of crap that guy was. I was so disappointed in that guy. He didn't care and didn't try. I had a lot of respect for him before he became an Islander. Now I don't.

It truly is amazing what has happened to this organization in such a short period of time. However now that the Isles are a success again and are being more respected around the league. People who just meet once again think I have jumped on the Islander bandwagon because of their new found success. LOL Same **** I had to deal with when we were winning the Cups and every 3rd Canadian was an Islander fan lol

You know it's all relative when it comes to getting paid. They don't want to feel like a chump in the room. If the guy next to you, who is not as valuable to the team, is making more money, that can irritate you.

Casey decided to balance getting paid with quality of like......and a burning desire to win with this group!
