At the time it was. Those two seasons without Martin and in Weight's system, he was awful. If there's one positive to Fred Flintstone, he knew how to use the 4th line.

I don't understand how players like Cizikas are undervalued. Casey is way better than Bailey, but Josh got the bigger contract. Yashin is another example. Imo, Pecca was the better player between the two before Darcy Tucker ruined him.

If a future Hall of Fame coach has to alter his game plan because of an injury to a player, that player deserves to wear an A.

Barry Trotz was asked how much of an "itch" he had to have Cizikas back to complete identity line. Trotz quipped he had a "rash" for that to happen.

I still think I might try Uncle Leo in the middle and slot in Ross the Boss.

My only hesitation is penalty killing. Bardreau can kill penalties.

I know Leo will be Leo as far as his game goes but I don't like to mess with a good thing either. Right now Leo is playing lights out and I'd prefer to leave him where he is having that success (until he isn't).

The other thing to note, to add to your mention, Cole being able to kill penalties is face offs...
