    In the history of the NHL, the best opportunity to get surprises who slip is in the last 2 years because of covid. Covid really hurt the visibility of some of these kids (playing in less games and tournaments) and greater chance of getting a steal in the draft because of that.

    Those seasons when the Buffalo Sabres couldn't score are quickly going to become a distant memory. The pipeline is getting full of speed and skill up front.

    Lou Lamoriello said all five draft picks today will be at training camp. Too early to tell whether any will play for organization next season. That will be determined in September.
