Supposedly a couple of our picks slid (for no obvious reason except that it happens). So they seem to be good value where they were taken.

In the history of the NHL, the best opportunity to get surprises who slip is in the last 2 years because of covid. Covid really hurt the visibility of some of these kids (playing in less games and tournaments) and greater chance of getting a steal in the draft because of that.

Lou Lamoriello said all five draft picks today will be at training camp. Too early to tell whether any will play for organization next season. That will be determined in September.
