Everyone is going to have to take home town discounts. All these players who have contracts coming up signed their last contracts with the assumption of a raising cap. Teams need to reshuffle the deck. It would not surprise me to see Hall get a 4 or 5 million dollar deal.

We need a few more things to happen before we can think about home town discount with Palms. First things first and that is the expansion draft. Could change our whole outlook on the summer.

Jaro Halak’s agent, Allan Walsh, confirms that UFA netminder and Bruins are parting ways. Walsh says Halak is healthy and expects NHL interest come July 28.

Can confirm the Edmonton #Oilers have both 7 and 8 year contracts agreed to with Zach Hyman. EDM and TOR are working to execute a sign & trade which will pay Hyman 8 yrs. at around $5M. Salary comes in higher in middle of contract and includes some no move protection. #Leafs

I read somewhere that St. Louis is out on Suter because they didn't like the term. I don't know what the ask is but I don't want to sign a 36 year old to a multiyear deal.

I read that Suter won't sign in the Eastern Conference, so the question is, who is our next target, and will it be another UFA, or a trade target?

Hearing Vegas @GoldenKnights are closing in on an extension to keep D Alec Martinez off the market.

Expect Martinez to come in around $5 million, perhaps a little more, on a three-year deal.
