Luke Schenn just signed with Vancouver for 2 years at $850K per. He would have been a good signing for that amount.

I'm wondering if maybe the holdup is that maybe the Isles, Seattle and St Louis are rekindling talks around Tarasenko. Maybe Seattle absorbs some salary, and gets a pick and/or a player they want out of it. St Louis dumps the contract, and the Isles flip a package to Seattle to take one of their many Left D's plus Tarasenko at a reduced salary.

Those types of deals are difficult to pull off, which could be the holdup.

Too bad, Hoffman was just signed to a 3 year deal worth $4.5M per with Montreal. I thought that was a good backup option if they can't get Tarasenko

There is chatter that Palmieri is back (also no surprise) although I don't see anything concrete like what McKenzie did with Parise above.

Well Bob put out a list of 15 players before FA started today. So far he is 14 of 15 are correct. The one he hasn’t quite nailed yet is Parise the Isles. Looks like Bob is going to bat 1000 today

They could give Wahlstrom a shot on the top line. He could be ready. I hope Barry has a little patience with him; give him 20 games to see if a Lee-Barzal-Wahlstrom line can click. On paper they would seem to have all of the good qualities you would want in a top line.

I like this team, we were so close to a cup and we add Lee to the same group.

There is no way Trotz is going to put Wahlstrom there. He doesn't trust him in that role. I personally would try it, but Trotz seems adverse to it.

Lots of signings but radio silence from Palmieri, Parise, and Casey. Knowing Lou's style that probably means all 3 are ours.

Exactly what I was expecting today. Lou following his MO from last season. Once again in Lou we trust. We have contracts signed in Lou’s drawer but won’t be announced until our RFA’s are signed. No panic from me that is for sure.

There is really no mystery.here. Look at last year we take care of our own first. For all we know CC has already signed but there is still Beau, Pelech and Sorky to take care of.
