All you had to do is look at Ovie and the Capital fans to know that this is how the Cup is supposed to be won. Years of frustration and tears finally culminating with putting that Cup high over your head. Vegas fans would have had zero appreciation for this and would have just thought. Hey that was pretty cool. In my eyes the Lore of Stanley has been preserved with the Caps winning.

Now with saying that I was one of Vegas's biggest fans. I posted about them often throughout the year as to why they were winning. EFFORT. I watched many Knight regular season games and they were a joy to watch. A fun team to watch. An exciting team to watch!

Vegas fans now know some heart break of trying to win Lord Stanley. They may not return to the finals for another 30 years? Who knows but at least now the fans get it or they soon will get it when they realize just how hard this Cup is supposed to be to win.

Great job Caps Great job Knights

    The right team won!
Well said. I felt the same way. I didn't appreciate the selection process, I felt it gave the Knights too much of an advantage.

While we were here in Vegas, so many uber drivers were talking to us about the Knights. It's really taken over here. And most mentioned there was one team they couldn't beat. Some knew the team, some didn't, bur none of them knew we are Islanders until after they said.

    Small positive, but positive nonetheless.

For one reason we usually suck when they all came in to the league but still none the less everyone else beat up on them but we never could.

Now for the first time in my memory the rest of the league can't beat an expansion team but we can....................so go figure. It is a nice change!
I think it's because they don't suck, so we don't play down to them.

They aren't doing well against teams wearing blue and orange.

Just goes to show you what hard work and some good coaching can do.............might as well throw the GM in on this statement as well.

It is a compelling story! Kaszycki's Krew thought the Isles getting within one game of the final in 75 was the ultimate - but - this team is going places fast. Let's see if it translates into playoff success.

Keep in mind - McPhee was the assistant to Snow. THAT freaks Kaszycki's Krew out !!
