Kaszycki's Krew went to his first NHL game last night at the Xcel Center. This is what a real hockey arena looks like. Not the easiest place to get to - but worth the trip. Great fans. They know their hockey and many of them would fit right in with us. in terms of love of the game.

The Wild did good to come back and force OT.

NJD has got it going on. I sat in a very good seat close to the ice. My thoughts

      Schneider is in the zone.

This Bratt kid can play. They trust this 19 year old on the penalty kill. Smart hockey player for a guy who came out of nowhere.

Will Butcher is a kid to watch out for. I remember one play in the zone where he made a great pass to himself - off an agressive forecheck. and scored a nice goal.

Grandlund on the Wild is a formidible player too.

Taylor Hall would have looked better in Orange and Blue of the Isles than the red and black of NJD

I met the family of Will Butcher in my section - who were conspicuous with their attire and all had "# 8 - so I hung out with his grandparents. What a nice event it must have been for them - the family is from nearby Wisconsin.

I had a Vietnamese sandwich and a beer at Pagoda in the lower concourse.

      Very good arena.

I stub hubbed a ticket for 65 dollars right on the goal line in the 8th row - it was a single seat - so - I guess that is why the price cratered on it.

I wore my Islanders cap to the game - representing.

      end of report.

Always good to represent. Thanks for the post. Good insight.

There is word tonight that MIN is preparing to name Paul Fenton its new GM. Not sure of timetable for announcement, though.

I'm a little surprised I thought Fitzgerald would get his one.

Could be heading to Long Island.

I think Fenton is the better choice. He has done an excellent job in Nashville.
I would love Fitzgerald to become a part of the Islanders organization but if you gave me a choice between Mark Hunter or Tom Fitzgerald? I might have to go with Hunter.

I too would prefer Hunter but right now it is kind of like being a kid in a candy store...........I will take this one and that one and you this one as well
